Creating Can Be Messy
This past Saturday, I baked a cake. I’m not talking about just opening up a box. I’m talking about dragging out the KitchenAid mixer (dusting it off) and measuring some stuff. My man loves him some wedding cake. So, I had this bright idea to bake a wedding cake for Father’s day.
I laid out the choices for him, white cake with white icing, white with chocolate, chocolate cake with white icing (which is his fav), chocolate with chocolate. He surprised me – white cake with chocolate icing. The process began.
Ingredients were spread throughout our kitchen, and chocolate icing was spread everywhere. The cake was delicious, and the mess was worth the masterpiece.
That’s kinda where I find myself on the website these days. Mandy Roberson Media is redesigning my web home. I wanted you to know why I’ve been a bit quiet lately. Ingredients are spread everywhere. They are the KitchenAid mixer and all those good ingredients. I’m the taste tester. I’m good with that because I have seen the mock-ups and the mess will be worth the delicious results. Just thinking about this makes me thankful that a little messy didn’t stop God as He created us – His masterpieces.

When our masterful creation is complete, I will have a website that will not only inform but also encourage us all to pursue hope with all we have. I covet your prayers. More than ever, I need the Holy Spirit to anoint my words—whether spoken or written—with His power, wisdom, compassion, and understanding.
My prayer is that Jesus, the ultimate life coach and hope giver, will shine so brightly through His divine connections.
Congratulations on the new website design! It looks beautiful! May the Lord bless you and this new ministry. I pray that blessing and HOPE will flow from this page!
Oh thank you, Betsy!
“Will you pray for me and every person with whom I have contact? My prayer is that Jesus, the ultimate life coach and hope giver, will shine so very brightly through His divine connections.” (Carmen’s Request)
I am committing to praying just that for the rest of the year Carmen!
Can’t wait to see how God blesses your efforts… :-)
(And, by the way, I could totally see you with flowered apron, flour dusted hands/cheeks and frosting on your fingertips!)
Bet your cake was yummy and your blog will be tasteful too!

Beth, you have given me such a gift – agreeing in prayer with me. Thank you friend.
Girl, I had flour everywhere. And, how did you know, my fingers were covered in icing so therefore, everything I touched had to be wiped down :)
Thank you for stopping by to encourage me.
My pleasure! I appreciate the kindness you have shown me.
Looks like one of my prayers were answered! Your site looks fresh and beautiful! Love the clothespin pic on the pretty porch image–sweet and welcoming. Would love to join you on that porch and have a piece of your yummy cake and a glass of sweet tea!
